| The Chief Medical Doctor of the Stargate Atlantis Expedition, Carson is a man of immense compassion and idealism. A Scotsman by nationality, Dr. Beckett has the ATA gene naturally and can activate many of the Ancient’s technology by touch and concentration. However instead of embracing this ability, Carson always seems reluctant to use it. He’s afraid almost to the point irrationality that he’ll break something and cause harm to someone if he activates any of the ancient technology without knowing what it’s intended for. Dr. Beckett is sometimes called upon to assist in offworld missions in a medical capacity. He doesn’t like to travel through the stargate, claiming that it’s unnatural for a body to be broken down to a molecular level and then pieced back together. He also seems to have an instinctive reluctance to listen to military orders or carry weaponry unless the situation makes it necessary. |
Canon: All things related directly to specific episodes of Stargate Atlantis. Various prompts and sixwordstories to fall under this catagory. Open: General catch all for verses and situations. Citrus-free: Based as a sws interactve verse. Most of the cross fandom or RP based plotlines will fall within this catagory. Gravity Defiant: no episode setting. Scotch and Molson: Generally a 'behind the sceens' take on things with a Rodney/Carson view.
